- Sep 14, 2013 Here are some pictures of the paint points I have. I already made a separate post of Mac Soft Ochre paint point. It's a long loved basic paint pot for those that are NC skin toned (if you are more cooler in skintone, Mac Painterly is your best bet for a base). That post can be found here: Mac Soft Ochre.
- MAC Soft Ochre is a permanent eyeshadow that retails for $18.50 and contains 0.17 oz. Jump to a particular section if you know what information you're looking for!
- Apr 28, 2020 But as MAC is a high-end brand, you need to spend a hefty amount on that. But fortunately, there are few dupes for MAC paint pot. In this article, we will pick some of the similar items from other brands that work the same as MAC paint pot. 5 Best Dupes for MAC Paint Pot Reviews 2020 MAC paint pot is one of a kind product.
Soft Ochre is creamy and matte in the jar, but after spreading it on your lids-easy to apply and blend, by the way-it settles down to a dry, matte finish. Bosch wfb 2002 user manual. Soft Ochre is a 'light' nude shade, which is just slightly brighter than my NW20 skintone. This paint pot works best as a cream base for eyeshadow.

Ok, so I bought NEW Mac paint pots that just came out in their Pro Longwear line recently. All Paint Pots are $20 each:
Tailor Grey is a simple taupe-y grey and Constructivist is a gorgeous shimmery brown. When I say shimmery, it's not a overwhelming shimmer. Since I just got these, I have no problems with creasing with using these and they last all day. I will be using Tailor Grey as a base for dark/fall smokey eye looks.

Now, let's get to the Maybelline Color Tattoos:
Dupe For Mac Soft Ochre Paint Pot Recipes
I have 6 colors. There aren't many matte shades in this line. Tough as Taupe is the only one I have that's matte (it may be the only matte one in the line).
Let's compare the two:
Price:
Paint Pots (PP) are $20 each and Color Tattoos (CT) are usually Buy 1 get 1 50% off here in the U.S. at the drugstores. 1 CT usually runs around $5.99-$7.99 depending on where you get it.
Colors:
PP has a TON more options than the CT. Not only does the PP have a wider color selection, but it also carries a better range (more mattes, more brighter colors).
Staying Power:
I'll preface by saying I do not give in the hype of brands that market their product with things like '24hrs'..because let's be serious here, I DO NOT wear my makeup for 24 hours straight. I will say this, both PP and CT lasts all day. However, CT has creased on me if I wear it by itself, whereas, the PP has not creased on me worn alone. Neither creased if worn as a base.
Color Pay-Off:
PP has a better color pay-off than the CT. Hands down. The lighter colors in the CT line are so sheer (this may also be the reason why it creases on my lids easier). A single swipe of PP has a better pay off than a single swipe of CT.
Lasting Over Time:
I've read the stories of people having issues of their paint pots drying. I cannot give a fair comparison because I haven't had my paint pots long. I've had Soft Ochre for about a month and it's still perfectly fine. I've had some of my CT for about a year and it's perfectly fine. I believe that if you keep them sealed properly and keep good care of your makeup, it shouldn't be an issue. I store my makeup in it's separately makeup room (you can see my post here of my Makeup Room) so I think that helps.
Overall:
I think overall, if you're thinking about the price, you could technically get THREE CTs for the price of 1 PP, however, a lot of makeup and like, many other things, it's about quality, not quantity! I definitely suggest a couple of good colors from CT (Tough as Taupe is a favorite and Barely Branded is a nice creamy with a light shimmer as well).
I hope this post was helpful!
MAC is one of the most popular brands around, but if you don’t want to pay full price, there are tons of great MAC dupes out there.

MAC Cosmetics has been a mainstay of the makeup world for decades now, and its products are both iconic and sometimes controversial. After MAC battled claims that they are not entirely cruelty-free, some customers began to turn from their long-loved shades to find new options. Not to mention, a single MAC lipstick will set you back $18.50, which could be used to buy two whole pizzas (or other delicious equivalent)!

Considering all this, I’ve put together a list of the best MAC dupes around. (All recommendations are confirmed cruelty-free unless otherwise stated.)
For your base:
MAC Foundation Dupes:
We’re starting with MAC’s most-loved base product: The Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 ($30) provides an airbrushed matte finish and has notably high coverage.
A great dupe for Studio Fix Fluid is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation ($7.99), which is just as long-lasting and shine-free for a fraction of the price. L’Oreal’s True Match Foundation ($7.59) is another great option if you’re looking for that flawless base. Doom 1993 soundtrack download.
(Please note that neither Maybelline nor L’Oreal are entirely cruelty-free. Cruelty-free companies include NYX and Milani — see our list of the best NYX products for more on this brand.)
MAC Concealer Dupes:
Makeup artists and average folk alike have raved about MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer ($24) for years, but there are cheaper options on the market. I’d recommend the NYX HD Concealer ($4.99) or the Sonia Kashuk All Covered Up Concealer ($9.98) for a similar finish and amount of coverage.
MAC Blush Dupes:
MAC’s Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish ($34) gives a lit-from-within glow to the face, but you can get the same luminous look from the Wet ‘n’ Wild To Reflect Shimmer Palettes ($5.99) or the ELF Baked Blush in Pinktastic ($4), which is my favorite cheap highlighter — it gives such a pretty sheen!
MAC Setting Spray Dupes:
Back in the early days of Youtube beauty gurus, everyone was dousing their face with a generous spray of MAC Fix+ ($26), but now other brands have released their own setting sprays that lock in your makeup just as well. My personal favorites are the ELF Mist & Set ($3.99), which contains green tea and other beneficial ingredients, and the NYX Dewy Setting Spray ($8.50) for the perfect dewy look. Sprint layout full crack.
For your eyes:
MAC Paint Pot Dupes:
For eye makeup products, MAC is well-known for their Paint Pots ($24), especially the shades Painterly and Soft Ochre, which prime the lids for intense colors, but if you’re not looking to drop $24 on an eyeshadow base, NYX Eyeshadow Base ($7) will prep your lids in the same way. You could also just use concealer on your lids and dust it over with some translucent setting powder for a similar effect.
For your lips:

And now, the most iconic MAC product of them all — lipstick. MAC has released so many shades that I’m just going to dupe some of the most popular ones here.
Now it wouldn’t be a MAC post if we didn’t mention Ruby Woo ($18.50). This matte blue-red has dominated the red lipstick market for years, but its formula errs on the drying side.
If you want a more moisturizing formula and a cheaper price tag, I’d recommend NYX Full Throttle Lipstick in Up the Bass ($3.49), which has a unique bullet for precise application. A long-wearing liquid lipstick option would be Colourpop’s Ultra Matte Lip in Creeper ($6.50), which is slightly warmer than Ruby Woo but just as beautiful.
MAC’s Marrakesh ($18.50) is another of their bestsellers. It’s a unique deep orange-brown that is currently out of stock, but never fear! Colourpop’s Lux Lipstick in Gallop ($7) is a very similar shade and has a nice creamy formula.
I’d say Velvet Teddy ($18.50) is as iconic in the MAC line as Ruby Woo is, and for good reason! It’s a beige nude that complements every skin tone, but luckily for you, Wet ‘n’ Wild also has a wildly popular nude lipstick, Bare It All ($4.28), for a much lower price. I’ll guarantee this will become one of your most-used lipsticks in no time!
